My blood, boiling
Resentment, almost overflowing
My veins, throbbing, almost pounding
Through my senses.
Drowning out all traces of civilization
At the brink of exhaustion
Yearning for the crisp night air
And the shadows and the stillness and the randomness
Stepping out onto the cliff
Standing at the edge, facing skywards
Wanting to rant, groan, curse, and question
Instead
Soft, sheer, velvety rays of the bright Night Pearl
Cascades upon the skinThe brightness of it, almost blinding all negativity in me
Admiring this beauty, songs of Grace
Could almost be heard
Almost
Stepping back, but not turning back
The halo of a hundred

not in the same field.
working now. my life revolved around work now.
i'm a box office assistant at a theatre company.
the one thing i love about the job is that i get complimentary tickets to shows.
i've always wanted to watch the plays, but never really had enough money left after food and art materials.
the only times i went to watch was when my parents got tickets from friends or someone brought me there as a treat.
i feel like a kid in the candy store now.
and i get free candy.
